Dad came to Dallas, TX from North Dakota where he grew up bowhunting, shooting pheasant and walleye fishing. In 2005, he found himself stuck in a unsatisfying job with a two year old son he didn't get to see often enough. He would take our Chairman to Bass Pro and while there he realized he never had a t-shirt that showed his love for hunting and fishing. He always loved to draw so that evening he started to think of different hunting and fishing graphics and Field Dress was born. To his surprise he was able to not only name the company Field Dress but also Trademark the term.

Dad launched Field Dress in 2006, met and married mom and started to grow the company. A big box called for a test run order, a hunting vest manufacturer wanted to license the name, and he was meeting with investors. Then god had other plans; mom was pregnant and with twins. The Global Financial Crisis was looming and dad had to decide whether to keep risking his bank account or as in his words "survive and put milk on the table".

He chose survive and put Field Dress on the sidelines. After the President and CEO came the Boss and most recently our Customer Service Rep joined the family...see the Team! He's always wanted to put it out there but there is only so many hours in the day so we convinced him to let us. So we have a lot to learn but dad says we'll figure it all out along the way.
